We turned this mid-20th century flat into an exercise in British style decor. The column and beam building structure and simple rectangular floor layout allowed for flexible re-laying out of the interior space into fewer rooms and with a generous size kitchen with open pantry. It was an rewarding experience in sourcing materials and equipment from traditional British craftsmen to local specialists to ubiquitous PRC suppliers. Tradition craft like hand brushed lacquer to all wood finish and small plank herringbone flooring was meticulously implemented. All of these blend together to achieve the authentic look and feel.
