We take on the traditional congee restaurant and turn it outside in. Whereas the traditional congee preparation area was a the shop front, we located it in the middle of the seating area to be the centrepiece and focus of the restaurant.
Within this central food preparation area, a glass fronted refrigerator was installed facing the shopfront to announce the ingredients of the day and numerous TV monitors hung from the ceiling to broadcast news to the office crowd which packed the restaurant during lunch and breakfast hours.
