Gallery at H Queen’s

Central, Hong Kong
2018
130 s.m.

The floor to ceiling curtain wall in this high rise high ceiling building dedicated to art galleries is both an opportunity and an limitation for exhibiting art pieces. We attempt to control the views of city and the interior space by using full height movable partitions that can close off all external light or allow some open view to work with the exhibiting pieces. The movable partitions also reduces the construction of internal wall partitioning and spaces for each exhibition. The space can therefore be both neutral or engaged with the surroundings.
