The flat in a row house building built in the late 1950s was converted to one “great room,” one bedroom, one photography darkroom plus a study area with a sleeping alcove. The focus of the whole space is the open kitchen with a 1.2×2.4m stainless steel counter connected to the empty workshop/living area facing onto green fields across the street. With the big projection screen down, it could be a home theatre or a photographic studio. The idea of modern urban living space for eating, sleeping, working, entertaining and contemplating is hopefully achieved.
